Hi, I’m Kristen — a dedicated teacher, resource creator, and advocate for making learning engaging and accessible for young learners. With over 30 years of experience in the classroom, I specialize in crafting resources that empower Kindergarten and first-grade teachers to create thriving, student-centered classrooms.
I’ve spent most of my life in the Chicago suburbs and have been married to my fantastic husband, a retired firefighter, for over 26 years. When I’m not busy teaching or designing resources, you can find me in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes (though I never seem to have enough time to cook as much as I’d like!).
I began my teaching career with a passion for helping young learners build foundational skills and confidence. Over the years, I’ve taught countless little ones to read, write, and grow in their love of learning. In 2013, I launched A Plus Classroom Creations to share the resources I was developing for my students with teachers around the world. What started as a small side project has blossomed into a thriving business that supports educators like you.
At A Plus Classroom Creations, I design versatile, time-saving resources that meet the needs of K-2 teachers. From engaging reading fluency games and spelling activities to eye-catching classroom décor and interactive math resources, everything is created with one goal in mind: making your teaching life a little easier. My products are print-and-go, differentiated, and perfect for centers, early finishers, or sub plans.
